Volumio Rivo - Digital Streaming Transport

Rivo is a digital-only network transport designed for a system that already has a DAC. It deliberately separates streaming from analogue conversion, sending music to a compatible converter or a digital-input amplifier through USB, coaxial S/PDIF or AES/EBU.

Galvanic isolation on the coaxial and AES/EBU outputs and dedicated filtering form part of its digital signal-path design. The current manufacturer specification supports USB playback up to PCM 1536 kHz/32-bit and DSD1024 with multiroom disabled; coaxial and AES/EBU outputs support PCM up to 192 kHz/24-bit.

Volumio OS unites streaming services, radio and local libraries, with Premium features included. Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi let the transport fit different network layouts. Rivo has no analogue audio output and needs an external DAC; it should not be confused with the I2S-equipped Rivo Plus.
