Volumio Rivo Plus - Digital Streaming Transport

Rivo Plus develops Volumio’s digital-only transport concept with a dedicated ASIC for the coaxial S/PDIF and AES/EBU outputs, upgraded MEMS clocks and an I2S-over-HDMI output. It supplies a separate DAC with a choice of four digital connection types.

USB supports PCM up to 1536 kHz/32-bit and DSD1024 with multiroom disabled. I2S supports PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD512, while coaxial and AES/EBU outputs support PCM up to 192 kHz/24-bit and DSD64 through DoP. I2S pin configuration must match the connected DAC; this HDMI connector is not a conventional television audio output.

Volumio Premium features are included for services, radio, local libraries and app control. A 12 V trigger output can coordinate compatible equipment. Rivo Plus has no internal DAC or analogue output, so a separate converter is required.
