Munich M1 combines network playback, an internal DAC and a front 6.35 mm headphone output in a compact component. Its RCA analogue output supports connection to a suitable amplifier or powered speakers, while digital outputs allow an external DAC to be used.

USB audio supports PCM up to 768 kHz and DSD256. AES/EBU, coaxial and I2S outputs provide further connection options, with the manufacturer specifying PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD128 on those digital paths. I2S compatibility must be checked with the receiving DAC.

VitOS Orbiter provides network discovery and playback control. A fanless enclosure, dedicated heatsink and EMI absorber form part of the hardware design.
