The RCA line output connects directly to an integrated amplifier or preamplifier. A coaxial digital output allows the player to use an external DAC or the conversion stage in a compatible amplifier. This makes it useful both as a complete CD player and as a disc source in a digital system.
A two-pole Butterworth filter is part of the analogue output stage. The front display and supplied remote keep disc operation straightforward, and the Lunar Grey casework matches other AX-series components.
