Munich MU is a network streamer with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analogue outputs, alongside USB audio and conventional digital outputs. It allows a system to use its internal conversion stage or feed a compatible external DAC.
The digital connections include AES/EBU, coaxial and I2S, plus USB audio support up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD256. Its I2S connection is not an HDMI audio connection and is not compatible with every DAC. VitOS Orbiter provides app control over the network.
A dedicated 25 MHz external clock input adds an upgrade path. The MU uses 4 GB of memory and 32 GB of system storage, with an M.2 NVMe expansion position supporting up to 4 TB; an SSD is not included. Black and Silver finishes share the same specified functions.
