Silent Angel combines its SANA noise absorber with noise-isolation circuitry for the power and clock sections. All eight Ethernet connections support 100 / 1,000 Base-T operation, so multiple network players and source components can share the switch.

The N8 uses an external 5 V DC supply and has a maximum specified power consumption of 5 W. Its 154.5 × 26 × 85 mm dimensions keep the enclosure small enough for a compact system. The Forester F1 is a separate compatible supply upgrade.
