Cambridge Audio Evo 300 is a streaming amplifier with dual-mono Hypex NCOREx amplification delivering 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms. A balanced preamplifier and dedicated analogue volume control support channel separation and control with demanding loudspeakers. The larger 7.8-inch display gives album artwork and playback information a prominent place.
The ESS ES9038Q2M DAC handles high-resolution PCM and DSD sources. StreamMagic Gen 4 connects network music and supported streaming services, while HDMI eARC integrates a television. Moving-magnet phono, balanced XLR, RCA, optical, coaxial and USB audio inputs accommodate a substantial range of sources.
Subwoofer level, crossover and phase can be adjusted from the StreamMagic app to help integrate bass with the main speakers. Speaker A/B switching and a 6.35 mm headphone output provide additional listening arrangements. Customisable side panels allow the appearance of the unit to suit its surroundings.
