The NuPrime AMG PRA is an analogue preamplifier built around a high-impedance Class A input design. Its 1 MΩ input impedance and MUSES volume-control circuitry form part of a signal path designed for analogue source integration. Separate power and preamplification boards, with an intervening isolation layer, help separate sensitive audio circuitry from the supply.
A selectable four-stage Active Low Frequency and Harmonic Gain control provides an alternative to a simple fixed bass boost. Two gain settings and phase inversion offer additional flexibility when matching the preamplifier to a power amplifier and loudspeakers. The machined aluminium front panel and Grey finish follow the AMG series design.
